P visa
P visas are generally for athletes, culturally unique performers or internationally recognized entertainment groups coming to the United States to participate in their craft. There are several categories of P visas:
- Culturally Unique Artist or Entertainer – coming to the United States to perform, teach, or coach in a culturally unique program.
- Internationally Recognized Entertainment Group – a group coming to the United States to perform.
- Athletes – an individual athlete or a group of athletes may come to the United States if they are “internationally recognized” – meaning renowned, leading, or well-known in more than one country.
- Reciprocal Exchange Program – artists or entertainers, either individuals or a group, coming to the United States to perform under a reciprocal exchange program between a U.S. organization and a foreign organization.
We ask for the following evidence:
- Itinerary &/Or Proof of Upcoming Performances: Information about the program or the tour in which the applicants are coming to engage.

- Portfolio: A collection of portrait prints, CD’s, etc. of the beneficiary’s work.
- Letters of Recommendation: Letters from peers and other experts of the field. Such letters should include the following:
- (1) an introductory paragraph that establishes the writer’s basis of expertise in the field and how the writer is familiar with the individual; and
- (2) a section in which the writer discusses the individual, specifically addressing (a) the beneficiary’s talent and ability, and/or (b) one or more of the beneficiary’s accomplishments in her field, such as significant projects or events that she worked on.
- Press: Any and all articles and reviews that pertain to the beneficiary’s work, whether directly or indirectly.
- Advertisements: Any advertisements that promote the beneficiary’s band, performances, exhibits, shows, events, etc.
- Awards: Evidence of awards or prizes that the beneficiary has received in his/her field, or that was awarded to a project the beneficiary had worked on.
- Contract: Contract between the beneficiary and the sponsor. Can be formal or informal. We can draft an informal contract if necessary.
- Copies of Professional Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates: If applicable.
